Give Support

Support the Defence Community in a unique way and make a real difference.

The Defence Bank Foundation raises funds to allow Defence Community Dogs to rescue and train dogs to become Companion Therapy Dogs to support the rehabilitation of our serving and ex-serving Australian Defence Force members who are dealing with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

Over the past two years the foundation has raised funds to rescue and train over 200 dogs to support Veterans suffering from PTSD, and based on the feedback received from PTSD sufferers and their families, it is apparent that the Companion Therapy Dogs have made a difference to the lives of Veterans suffering from PTSD.

Each dog is highly trained to recognise the symptoms of PTSD and support the individual during their rehabilitation by following a specialised dog training program devised by Australia‚Äôs leading dog trainer, Steve Austin.

Sadly, more therapy dogs are needed, so please help support this worthy cause.

The administration costs to run the foundation are met by The Defence Bank to make sure that all donated funds are provided to Defence Community Dogs to save dogs and Veterans.

All donations over $2.00 are Tax Deductible.
